An Egyptian court sentenced on Sunday an Egyptian citizen and two Israelis to life in jail on charges of spying.
The criminal court of Al-Arish also fined the defendants EGP10,000. The two Israelis were tried in absentia.
The defendants were found guilty of espionage in the period from August 2011 to February 2014.
Investigations showed the Egyptian defendant leaked information to the Israelis, who included a Mossad officer, about the army and militant groups in Sinai for nearly $38,000 and an apartment in Israel.
