Dutch police say they have detained a 32-year-old man after fire broke out at the British embassy in The Hague.
Police spokesman Yoeri Voogt says the man was detained near the embassy after the fire started early Tuesday at the building, which stands on a historic, tree-lined avenue in downtown The Hague.
Voogt had no further details and said investigations into whether the man was involved in the blaze are continuing.
The blaze is under control and nobody was injured.
Embassy spokesman Alex Lawrence says staff are waiting to go into the building as firefighters complete their work.
